What is a Gas Test?

A Gas Test should only be performed by a fully qualified Gas Engineer.  It will test that all your gas pipes and appliances are leak free and working safely.  Bridge Heating are qualified to test and commission any size Domestic or Commercial gas system. We can check Boilers, Water heaters, fires, Ovens and Hobs.  We can provide you with the required Gas Safety Certificate if the gas installation satisfies all the current regulations.   We can perform a full Gas Test each year. Your Engineer will be vastly experienced, fully qualified and Gas Safe registered. 

Why may I need a Gas Test?

For Commercial and Rented properties, it is a Legal Requirement to perform a Gas Test each year.  This is to ensure the safety of everyone who uses the building.  Landlords must supply tenants with a valid Gas Certificate in the first 28 days of the tenancy.  Potential problems can lead to carbon monoxide poisoning which could be lethal.  We can check that all gas appliances are safe and meet the required legal standards.  A Gas Test must be performed every 12 months, so you will need a new one each year.  It is important to check when your current Gas certificate expires.  We perform Gas tests in Hornchurch, Romford, all parts of Essex, and most of the surrounding areas.

What happens if I don’t arrange Gas Testing when I should do?

If you are obligated to hold a valid Gas Certificate and you do not have one, severe penalties may be imposed.  These can range from a large financial penalty to having your building shut down.  This may stop your business from trading, or prevent you from renting your homes out to tenants.  We can perform a low cost Gas Test or Boiler Heating Service each year, and provide a Gas Certificate with a full safety report.  This will make sure that you always hold a valid Certificate.  This is very important for companies and landlords.

How much does a Gas Test cost?

A Gas Test and full safety report can cost as little as £50.  This is not much to pay when you consider the problems that can be caused by an unsafe system, and the severe punishments for not having a valid Certificate.
