What is a Boiler Service?

Gas Boiler Heating is the most common type of Central Heating System.  Most properties in the UK use a Gas Boiler to provide for their Hot water and Heating needs.  It is very important that your Boiler is working correctly and safely, otherwise you could experience several problems leading to a loss of heating and hot water.  A Boiler Service will check and test both performance and efficiency.  It will also identify any problems that may need to be fixed before they result in an expensive repair.  We perform low cost boiler services in Hornchurch, Romford and all parts of Essex.

What do you test during a Boiler Service?

Firstly, a Boiler Service will check that your boiler is working safely, and make sure it’s been installed to the manufacturer’s instructions. Bridge Heating will test and clean all components, and check all heating controls are working as they should.  We can provide a full safety report and Gas Certificate if we are satisfied.  Secondly, the Boiler Service will test the efficiency of the system, and check for any potential problems.  We can provide a low cost Boiler Repair service if we find any faults with your Boiler.  Your Heating Engineer will be Gas Safe registered, Qualified and Trained to work on all types of Boilers. 

What happens if I don’t service my Boiler regularly?

If you don’t arrange a Boiler service or check for problems, there is an increased chance of your boiler breaking down permanently.  It costs much more to repair a faulty Boiler than it does to maintain a healthy Boiler.  A faulty Boiler can also cause domestic hot water and Radiator Heating problems.  It may also cause high energy bills due to low efficiency performance. Bridge Heating recommend that you arrange a Boiler Service at least once per year.

How much does a Boiler service cost?

A full Boiler Service can cost as little as £60.  Our Boiler Repair service is low cost too.  To fix your Boiler Heating we charge £60 for the first hour of service, and £20 for each half hour thereafter.  Fixed prices are also available. We can provide full Safety Reports and Gas Certificates from as little as £50.
